Hardwoods are graded by the percentage of clear cuttings in the board. The lower the grade, the smaller the cuttings, and the lower the percentage of clear cuttings in the board. If you like character in your lumber, or if your projects use short pieces, medium grade lumber may work for you and cost less. We’ve dropped the prices on some even further, making them an even better value.
